... from a Narrowboat Wife
The lovely Peggy over at 'The Real Life of a Narrowboat Wife' asked me to write a guest post for her blog about life on the waterways... and I was happy to oblige!
Reading it back now as I sit here looking out over the (albeit extraordinarily beautiful) misty Italian mountains, I can't help but feel a slight longing for the ducklings that will be appearing on the water right about now...
Do stop over and check out her blog - filled with both practical advice and beautiful words, all about life aboard a narrowboat :-)

'Twas lovely to have you round my 'place'! ;-)
Lovely! Oh those winter laundrette runs..made me smile as I remembered mine..huge backpack, four children dragging along, rain, someone crying (probably me)steamy windows...ah happy memories! Spring is the best eh? Hope you're enjoying your adventure now...not missing the water too much!
Launderette run with back pack and tiny kids drove me mad - I blogged about it extensively! And finally got a boat with a washing machine!
Henrietta - Spring is definitely the best!!!! and yes, I'm enjoying this adventure and the mountains are proving a good substitute for the water :-) hope you are all well in the woods!
Lol Peg - yes, I'm thinking a washing machine may be on the wish list for the next boat! x
